This was quite the reno.....almost everything we did...we did at least twice. It started with the sub-floor....the fella (Bob) who installed the original floor glued it down with excellence in mind....it took about 13 man hours to take it up literally one square inch at a time....argh!
Take old mirrors and vanity out...fill and sand, fill and sand, fill and sand...then prime, paint..hmmm...fill and sand some more, prime and paint again.
Hang the mirror...mirror falls off the wall, breaks....hang second mirror. By this time, we were really laughing at the challenges at every turn. We expected complications with everything, and for the most part, we were not disappointed.

WOW! That looks AMAZING! I love your choices in finishings and colours! Great job!!!
Dido that! What a transformation. I mean it looked great before but wow, it's like a show home! Dustin and I have done all our own reno's on two homes, we flipped them. We had them down to the plywood, but what a payoff. It's a lot of work hey? Now we're building a home so it's a treat. But kudos to you both...fabulous!
Love, love, LOVE this room!!
Very swanky! I am in awe of you as usual. Looks like a showhome. You did a great job - twice the trouble means twice the pleasure in a job well done. Good job Bob!
By the way, that last comment was from me. Put anonymous by mistake. Lyla
Really lovely!! And well worth the wait for pictures ;o) Lots of work - but you and Bob do make a great team and the results are wonderful. Now it's time to sit back and enjoy for a while!
Absolutely fabulous! Have always loved your style and flare for decorating Auntie Jo!
Are you sure that's the same bathroom!?! Looks AMAZING, as does the office and floors. Awesome job!
Wow. I haven't read your blog for 2 weeks! Such fun posts going on! I want to comment on them all, but I think that wouldn't be too productive for my work day. :) Have a good day Joanne!!
I am so sorry.... but I am laughing so hard at your description of hurdles.....the joys of renovating eh. But I must say the finished product looks absolutley beautiful!
