So the plan is...

to look out at the beautiful blue Pacific...

and to read a bunch of great books.
That is our spot...not up there...or down there....but right there!

We pad down from our condo just a short walk to the grassy area in front of the ocean, and just a step away from the pools and beach cafe. We can find shade and sun within feet of each other.....so we spend most days right there. I am so excited to be going back to our most favorite spot in the sun.

I will try to keep you updated on our wanderings in Maui.

Blessings to all my friends and family left at home.....we love you tons!

He shoots, He scores!

Grampy just had to buy a hockey set for Jacob. Don't you just love the way God makes boys....so boyish?!
Thank heaven for little boys!

My brother, Ken, is undergoing some test....heart related. It started with some chest pains while he was walking, and Ken is not like most men who would sluff off a sign like that....he went straight to his doctor....good call, Ken. We will be praying for positive results and that the doctors will find and be able to treat the problem without too much fuss. Ken has drawn back as far as work is concerned (not a bad thing) and is taking special care to try to walk lots and eat the right things to ensure he doesn't worsen his condition.

We love you lots, Ken and will be praying for you.

I can.....

almost smell them....I do love Maui.....long walks on the beach, snorkelling, reading, more walking, fresh pineapple every day, swimming, sunning. Okay, I know....enough already!!
I'm so ready for the warmth of Maui. I hope you get a chance to have a holiday from your real life sometime soon....it is such a blessing and it give you more time to be thoughtful and thankful for God's blessings.

Everyday stuff

My life has been filled with busy, everyday stuff. I don't really like wadding through the regular stuff, but I must say I do like looking back and seeing the accomplished tasks.....quick....before it's undone and waiting to be done again.

We are planning our escape....thankful to be off to Maui sunshine, just the two of us....so thankful that we still really enjoy each others company. We will be joined by Roger and vicki for the last 10 days of our holiday.....so thankful that we have family that we really enjoy being with, too! We are truly blessed by God for His blessings of family and friends.

Be blessed, my friends....cherish the moments

I love the seasons....

It has been very crazy weather around here this week....we almost NEVER get snow this late but yesterday it snowed...and snowed alot in some places.

But if you care to stop and look long and hard, you can see new life all around. I just love living in a part of the world that has distinct seasons....even though it is still gray out, the trees are working hard at their glorious presentation, soon to be seen.

Thank you, Lord, for new life, fresh starts, new beginnings, and especially re-birth.

We are bless beyond measure....take time, my friends, to look past the stuff, and acknowledge God's goodness.

Off to the beach...

This shot was taken by my honey....at about 4:30 am. The kids were on their way to the Dominican Republic with their good friends Dan and Becca and their wee dollie, Michal. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see them off at the airport.....I was really busy sleeping at the time!

Girl's lunch out

Cecelia and I had a LONG-OVERDUE thank you lunch at Northview today.
Ce worked for us in the office this past season and did a terrific job. Thanks, Ce!
Her daughter, Leslie and Shawna joined us, too....needless to say it was a delightful time in the company of our girls.

Heaven Bound

We have just heard that Terry's Dad has finally been called home. We pray for Terry and Lois, Brandon, and Jamie as well as Terry's sister Lyla and Steve. Len has been failing over the last few months, although he seemed to rally of late only to be taken home rather suddenly.
We praise God with the family for God's grace and mercy, as we know that he is rejoicing at the feet of Jesus.
What a terrific way for Len to celebrate Easter.
We are praying for all of you as you walk through this difficult time.

Easter Family Gathering

Bob, Cole and I on Easter Sunday

I was determined to have everyone sit around the table....I admit,
we were a bit squished, but it was so good to celebrate Easter dinner together.

Jacob and his Grammie's nephew's son, Trevor
(I don't know...you figure it out!)

I just love this shot....everyone in the room is busy interacting and
doing their own thing...it tells the story of our usual family gatherings....never a dull moment!

The egg hunt

Jacob and Trevor had a blast on the
Easter egg hunt....considering they had never done it before,
they sure got the hang of it....what fun to have the kids around!! We are surely blessed.

He is risen - HE IS RISEN INDEED!
Christ, the Lord, Is Risen Today
By Charles Wesley

Christ, the Lord is risen today,
Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say:
Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high,
Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth, reply,
Alleluia!
.
Lives again our glorious King:
Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting?
Alleluia!
Dying once, He all doth save:
Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave?
Alleluia!
.
Love's redeeming work is done,
Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won;
Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids Him rise;
Alleluia!
Christ has opened Paradise.
Alleluia!
.
Soar we now, where Christ has led,
Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head;
Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise;
Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies;
Alleluia!

Happy Easter, dear friends and family!
May God shower you with His love and grace today
Be blessed
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suff'ring and shame;
And I love that old cross, where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.
.
So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it someday for a crown.
.
Oh, that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary.
.
In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see,
For 'twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died
To pardon and sanctify me.
.
To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He'll call me someday to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I'll share

Thank you, Lord, for Friday....for your suffering on the cross for my sins
Rejoice with me, my friends, at what God has done for us.
Enjoy the day...be blessed

Toddler times

Jacob-bean is such a happy little gink.....the picture of him plugging his ears should be accompanied with the sound of him screeching. He is learning about the echo in his head when he screams....delightful!
Gotta love em!!

"It's called childcare, Mom"

I was looking after the boys for the morning last Wednesday. Jacob was having a nap and Cole was happily bouncing in his jolly jumper...I went to make a business call from my office. When I was through, I found the wee man sound asleep...and he slept for another good while. When Shawna returned and I relayed the cute incident to her....that's what her responds was.....it's called childCARE. Mom!
Just love the wee chief!

Happy Birthday, Honey!

Today is my honey's birthday....we celebrated last night with our family (missed you T&C)...we had dinner together and then the hearty ones stayed for a game of Smarter than a fifth grader. Okay, so the older we get the less we know...or is it remember...I can't remember.
Today we had a relaxing day and then went to our forever friends Jim and Rhonda's for a scrumpious meal and great fellowship. Again, I am overwhelmed by the blessings of our friends and family.
Happy Birthday, Rob.....my love always.
What ever this year holds I pray God will go before you in all that you do.

Island visit

Trevor and Christy invited us over to the Island for a visit, so we caught the early morning ferry on Sunday and arrived just in time to go to church with them. We are truly thankful for the terrific church family they have over there. Then Trev and Christy took Dad and I out for a birthday lunch, and we relaxed and enjoyed the afternoon with nothing much on the agenda....just chatting, ohhing over McPeach's room....all fun stuff. We stayed over in Victoria and the kids met us there to do some shopping....Christy and I had such fun....okay so tights are really not Christy's thing, K?!
Thanks for the terrific weekend.....so looking forward to wee McPeach's arrival.
