The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your love, O Lord, endures forever ~ do not abandon the works of Your hands. Psalms 138:8

Hallowe'en

We had a fun night with a visit from Jacob the race car driver, and Cole the Giraffe. They also brought along a Ladybug and Bunnie...the cutiest I've ever seen. And, of course I can't forget to mention our dear son-in-law....Punkin' Head. I stayed home and answered the door, while Grampy went along with the troops into the neighborhood.

It's that time again....

As most of you know...it's Cranberry Creek time around here. So you will have to forgive me if my blogging is few and far between. I will be busy either on the road or in the office. Our friend's talented daughter, Jamie Delaine did a photo shoot for us. We wanted a pictorial guide for our website....she did a fabulous job. Thanks, Jamie! You can check it out at http://www.cranberrycreek.com/

We are hoping that this will help our customers, and answer their questions about the butter sauce recipe.

We will be at a new show this year in Vancouver. The One of a Kind Show at BC Place on November 20 -23. I think it is going to be a fabulous show....if it's anything like the Toronto One of a Kind Show. We have been in that show for 10 years and it is absolutely amazing! I am so looking forward to being in a Vancouver show again. We had been juried out of the Circle Craft Show three years ago, so this new show is very exciting for us. Tickets are cheaper on line at http://www.oneofakindvancouver.com/. Mark your calendars, and come on down and visit us there!
Be blessed, my friends

Happy Birthday, Jim...and Rhonda!

Last Monday we met our long-time friends Jim and Rhonda for breakfast. Isn't it great to be able to sit across from those who have walked along with you through the good and bad times? God's special blessings to us...friends who know us, but still love us.
Jim travels with us at Cranberry Creek....his birthday was this past Monday...we were together travelling home from Red Deer. And Rhonda's birthday is at the end of November, and we almost always are away for it. Happy Birthday to both of you!! May God richly bless you all the year through.
It has been the most spectacular autumn that I can ever remember....the sunshine, the turning leaves, the blue sky....just gorgeous. Just another aspect of my life to which I am thankful.

Happy Birthday, Lois!

We had the honor of celebrating our dear friend, Lois' birthday with her family at Hazelmere Golf Club about a week ago.....we always have a great time together, and this was no acception. Very relaxing, good company and great food.
I am truly thankful for the friends God has placed in our lives. Be blessed, Lois....the whole year through.

A day to be thankful

It was a gorgeous day for our Thanksgiving dinner....we don't do this every year, but I thought it was high time to gather together.

Seating 40+ people was a bit of a challenge....but we pulled it off.... and with everyone's help, the dinner was wonderful.

What a joy....we all lead busy lives and don't often see each other, but when we do we enjoy a sense of family that feels good and warms the heart.

Christy took photos for me of everyone at the feast....there were about 45 in all. A few were missed from the photos...the Dad's were chasing the kidlets.

Rheanne is just recently engaged to Jordan (that will make Jordan #4 in our family) Congratulations you two!!

Bounty, abundance, fellowship, chatter, laughter, baby cuddling, thankful hearts celebrating God's goodness together.

Denay Catherine's Dedication Day

(Click on the photos to enlarge)
We were blessed to be able to be part of Denay's dedication in Duncan. Trevor and Christy have a wonderful church family. After her dedication, Pastor Mark walked through the congregation with her talking to her about her church family..."these will be your Sunday School teachers, your youth leaders, they are here to help you grow up to be all God wants you to be". What a blessing to witness God's grace being poured out through His church to our wee girlie.
We had a wonderful lunch after at Teunis and Nancy's...it gave Cole a chance to get a closer look at his cousin. No, she is not a scratch and sniff dolly, Cole!
Then there was the close encounter for Jacob with the BIG tractor. Hmmm...they are not this scary in my sandbox!
The cousins ...just hangin' out

With a thankful heart

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song. Psalms 28:7

What a wonderful time Thanksgiving is......a day dedicated to be thankful. I have so much in my heart, I can hardly put it into words. Thank you Lord for redemption, healing, provision, loving family and friends.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. I Chronicles 16:34

There are so many aspects of life that I am thankful for and find joy in....sunny afternoons, a walk on the beach, the faces of my g-kidlets, the laughter of friends, the secure embrace of my hubby. There's more...a job complete, watching our children grow and mature in Christ, lending a helping hand, working hard and seeing the results, palm trees, blue skies, oh, and of course fresh flowers.

Let them gives thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for men, for He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. Psalms 107:8-9

We are having a large family gathering this Sunday afternoon. There will be over 40 of us in all....what a true blessing to have family so close.....and to have relationship with each one of them. Great food, good company, and even a sunny day to enjoy....God is so good to us!

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strenthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. Colossians 2:6-7

Count your blessings, name them one by one

Count your blessings see what God has done

Count your blessings

Name them one by one

Count your many blessings see what God has done

I pray that your heart will sing with thankfulness this weekend....be blessed my dear friends.

Greg & Brigitte

A few weeks back we had the pleasure of attending a wedding reception for our dear friend's son and his beautiful wife. It was a gorgeous day, and the reception site (Steve & Marilyn's backyard) couldn't have been more perfect. Shawna made the wedding cake...it had a casual, elegant woodsy theme. What a joy to share happy times with friends. Many years of happiness to G&B!

I'm back

Howdy!! Sorry for my absence....kinda hope you missed me....cause I did miss you!!
It has been kinda crazy since I came back from vacation....Cranberry Creek is taking up a lion's share of my time, and the rest is juggled between g-babies, fall home stuff, and trying to not loose my brain in the midst of it all.
I've finally posted the last part of our vacation....hope you enjoy! Be blessed my friends....I'd love to know you stopped by!

G-boys

No need for comment here....just love em!!

Cranberry Creek time

We are busy gearing up for the shows, the bakery is in full swing, we are changing our booth display, and busy in the office with all the paperwork and final details. The to-do lists for both of us are crazy long, but we just keep at it.. It is so great to have both of us working together...when one is tired; the other can take up the slack.
I am blessed, thank you, Lord.

Vacation - Part Four - the Final Chapter

So we travelled back into New York to catch our cruise ship.

Our first port of call was Halifax; we walked to the Citadel, poked thru the museum and walked back along the harbour to our ship....very relaxing day.

Our next port of call was St John's, New Brunswick. We enjoyed another relaxing day...it started to spit just as we were back on the gangway.

I think Bar Harbour was my favorite port we visited...it was quite, quaint, and colorful. We rented bikes and toured around the Acadian National Park,

had lunch by a stream, walked through the town and topped off the afternoon with a waffle cone...my kinda day!
Again, we were blessed with perfect weather for the day....just a gorgeous little town.

Our next Port of call was Boston....steeped in history, a great, interesting city. We just walked, and walked, and walked.

Our final port was cancelled due to Hurricane Hannah coming up the coast....so we headed straight in to New York for our last night. It was very dark and gloomy that afternoon as we sailed into port....and the wind was so high the ship had to be held in at the dock by two tugboats all night long. But we woke up early the next morning to again, gorgeous sunshine to fly home.

We had a wonderful time, and I am truly thankful for God's provision to us that we can enjoy such an amazing vacation.
